CCA Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Generous Donations to MOH

The Cancer Concern Association (CCA) is proud to announce the celebration of its 25th anniversary this year. To commemorate this significant milestone, CCA made several generous donations to the Ministry of Health on May 22, 2024. The handover ceremony, held in the presence of the CCA executive committee and the Ministry’s management, saw Chairperson Dinaz Van Der Lans present these valuable contributions to CEO Dr. Danny Louange.

Enhancing Healthcare with Essential Equipment

CCA’s donations included an endoscope, a vital instrument for the urology department that will significantly aid in their outreach campaign for bladder and prostate cancer. This equipment is expected to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve patient outcomes in the region.

Comfort and Care for Oncology Patients

In addition to the medical equipment, CCA donated 15 chairs to enhance the comfort and ambiance of the oncology department’s reception area. These chairs will provide a more welcoming environment for patients and their families, making their visits to the department a bit more comfortable during challenging times.

Support for Hospice Care

Understanding the importance of comprehensive care, CCA also donated a heavy-duty blender and dryer to the North East Point Hospice. These essential appliances will assist in the daily care of patients, ensuring they receive the best possible nutritional support.

A Place for Solace and Reflection

CCA’s contributions also included two cast aluminum benches, dedicated to the memory of the late Bishop Chang-Him, the founder and first esteemed chairperson of CCA. These benches will be placed at the hospital Grotto, providing patients and their loved ones a place to pray and find solace while at the hospital.

Looking Forward

As CCA celebrates this remarkable milestone, it reaffirms its commitment to supporting cancer patients and enhancing healthcare facilities in Seychelles. The association extends its heartfelt gratitude to all members, supporters, and partners who have been part of this journey over the past 25 years.
